By downloading, installing, or using Chez ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Chez is a mobile application that helps users import, organize, and cook recipes with AI-powered guidance. Features include recipe import from URLs, step-by-step cook mode, voice-powered AI chat, recipe memory, and community challenges.
You must create an account to use Chez. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years of age to use the service.
Chez offers a free tier and a paid "Chef" subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and processed via RevenueCat. Subscription terms, pricing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the applicable app store's policies. You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings.
You retain ownership of content you create (cook photos, recipe notes, learnings). By using the App, you grant Chez a non-exclusive license to store and process your content to provide the service. You may delete your content at any time.
Chez uses AI to extract recipes, provide cooking guidance, and answer questions. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" and may contain inaccuracies. Always use your judgment when cooking, especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App; (c) abuse, harass, or harm other users; (d) circumvent usage limits or access controls.
Recipes imported into Chez may be subject to third-party copyright. Chez facilitates personal use of publicly available recipe content. You are responsible for respecting the intellectual property rights of recipe creators.
Chez is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to food preparation outcomes, allergic reactions, or data loss. Use cooking guidance at your own risk.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes.
