1. Information We Collect

When you use Chez, we collect:

• Account information: Email address (used for authentication via one-time passcode)
• Recipe data: Recipes you import, recipe versions you create, cooking notes and learnings
• Cook session data: Steps completed, session duration, completion status, photos you upload
• Usage analytics: Feature usage, screen views, and interaction events (anonymized)
• Subscription data: Managed by RevenueCat; we receive subscription status but not payment details

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Chez cooking experience
• Power AI features (recipe extraction, cooking chat, recipe memory)
• Track your cooking progress and build personalized recipe memory
• Manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
• Display community statistics (e.g., challenge completion counts — aggregated, not individual)

3. AI Processing

Your cooking questions and recipe data are processed by third-party AI services to provide cooking guidance. This data is used solely to generate responses and is not used to train AI models. Voice recordings are transcribed and discarded after processing.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (cloud infrastructure). Recipe photos are stored in Supabase Storage. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Database access is controlled by Row-Level Security policies ensuring you can only access your own data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and storage hosting
• RevenueCat: Subscription management
• AI providers: For recipe extraction and cooking chat (no persistent storage)

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Access and export your recipe data at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Opt out of analytics (contact us)

7. Children's Privacy

Chez is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email.
